Best neapolitan pizza London

The "Crust Bros Restaurant Waterloo" in London is an award-winning establishment specializing in Neapolitan pizza, firmly establishing itself in the city's vibrant culinary scene. It is part of the small but growing Crust Bros chain, which originated in 2014 as a street food venture when founder Joe Moore discovered his passion for perfectly shaped pizza crusts after a trip to Italy. The first brick-and-mortar location in Waterloo, opened in 2017, is considered the flagship and has made a name for itself with its focus on handmade, authentic pizza, winning the National Pizza Awards in 2019 and 2022 among other accolades.

Authentic pizza at Crust Bros

The atmosphere at "Crust Bros Waterloo" is relaxed and inviting, featuring an industrial chic design that combines raw brick walls and open spaces with a lively energy. Located near the bustling Waterloo Station, it is ideal for commuters, theatergoers, and tourists seeking a quick yet high-quality meal. A sunny outdoor terrace provides additional seating and invites guests to linger in good weather, while the open kitchen with its wood-fired oven—affectionately named "Big Tony"—offers a glimpse into the art of pizza making. The music is lively, the vibe is casual, and the venue attracts a diverse mix of patrons, from after-work groups to families.

Crust Bros restaurant atmosphere

Culinary offerings at "Crust Bros" are known for their signature, light, and "leopard-spotted" crusts, made from Caputo Blue Doppio Zero flour from Naples and fermented for up to 48 hours before being baked in just 60 seconds in the wood oven. A highlight is the "Notorious P.I.G.," a pizza topped with prosciutto cotto, mozzarella, and mushrooms, celebrated for its perfect balance of savory and creamy flavors. The "Margherita," a classic featuring San Marzano tomatoes, fresh basil, and high-quality mozzarella from Campania, exemplifies the simplicity of Neapolitan traditions. Guests can also create their own pizza, choosing from a variety of toppings like burrata, vegan cheese, or spicy nduja to suit individual preferences. In addition to pizza, creative cocktails—such as an aromatic Negroni with bay leaf bitters—and desserts like the "Nutella Pizza," which features the famous chocolate spread on a crispy base, are available.

Sustainable pizza options London

The restaurant places a strong emphasis on the quality of its ingredients. Many products, such as mozzarella and tomatoes, are imported directly from Italy to maintain authenticity, while sustainability is also a key consideration: for every pizza sold, Crust Bros plants a tree in collaboration with Earthly to contribute to combating climate change. The menu is flexible, offering options for vegetarians, vegans, and those with gluten sensitivities, making the venue particularly inclusive. On weekends, the "Bottomless Brunch" offer attracts guests looking to enjoy unlimited pizza and Prosecco, accompanied by a lively playlist.

Crust Bros bottomless brunch

Service at "Crust Bros Waterloo" is quick and friendly, though it can sometimes appear a bit chaotic when the restaurant is full. The staff is dedicated to providing guests with a good experience, and ordering at the counter ensures a straightforward process. The open kitchen and the team's relaxed demeanor contribute to a laid-back atmosphere, although the noise level and the constant flow of delivery drivers for takeaway orders may not be to everyone's taste.

Someone here has excellent taste in music. Seriously, whoever has been making the playlists probably has a degree in music. I reckon it's the same guy who's been replying to all these reviews. Just outstanding vibes. This place is so good I visit five times a week. On some level that's way too much pizza, but on another, what really is too much pizza? Is there a metric of how much pizza one should eat in a year? These are the real questions we should be asking ourselves, along with "who here has such immaculate taste in music?" and, "if you fold a pizza is it just a sandwich?" Though I guess if you roll it up it's also a burrito? Or is it a wrap? It gets super technical really, I think the idea of bread-foods is really abstract. Like, everything is a sandwich, and nothing is either. Real philosophical stuff. These are the kind of things I like to contemplate while listening to their killer playlists. Their pepperoni is also pretty good.

Crust Bros nails it with their Neapolitan style pizza! The crust is light, crispy, and a little charred—just how it should be. Toppings are fresh, and you can customize your own, which is a nice touch. Chill vibes, good service, and solid pizza. Worth checking out! 🍕🔥

I can't say enough good things about this place! From the moment you walk in, the aroma of freshly baked pizza fills the air, making your mouth water. The crust is perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and the toppings are always fresh. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure you have everything you need. Whether you’re dining in or getting takeout, the quality is always top-notch. If you’re a pizza lover, this spot is an absolute must-visit! Can't wait to come back for more.
